Privacy Policy
Effective June 10, 2026
The short version: I collect what I need to book and photograph your session, I never sell it, and there is no ad tracking on this site.
Who I am
Verge Photography is the studio of Wesley Verge, a portrait and headshot photographer based in Boston, Massachusetts. This policy covers wesleyverge.com and how I handle your information when you inquire about or book a session. If anything here is unclear, email wes@verge.wtf and I'll give you a straight answer.
What I collect
- Information you share with me. Your name, email, phone number, and session details when you inquire, book, fill out a pre-session questionnaire, or correspond with me by email.
- Photographs. The images we make during your session. Ownership and how they may be used are spelled out in the services agreement you receive when booking — see below.
- Site analytics. This site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Analytics): aggregate page counts only. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no individual profiles. That's also why there's no cookie banner — there's nothing to consent to.
How I use it
To respond to your inquiry, schedule and prepare your session, deliver your photographs, and keep ordinary business records (invoicing, bookkeeping, taxes). I do not sell or rent personal information, and I don't share it with anyone for marketing.
Your photographs
Copyright and usage rights for session photographs are covered in the photography services agreement provided at booking. Photographs appear in my portfolio and marketing only with written permission — there's a release section in the agreement, and you can decline it.
Who else touches the data
The service providers that run my infrastructure, only as needed to operate: Vercel (website hosting and analytics), Supabase (database), and Google Workspace (email). If you book through a scheduling link, that provider handles the details you enter there under its own policy.
How long I keep it
Correspondence and booking records are kept as ordinary business records (tax law requires some of this). Session photographs are archived per the services agreement. If you'd like something deleted, email me — I'll delete anything I'm not legally required to keep.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it — just email wes@verge.wtf.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS, data sits with reputable providers, and access is limited to me. No system is perfect, but this one is small, modern, and carefully kept.
Minors
Sessions are booked by adults. I photograph minors only when a parent or guardian books the session and consents.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
